Material over 75mm thick is about 50% dearer that thinner material because it can't be kiln dried or it will crack. This thick material in general is shed air dried over 10 years or more. You can request damp material at a lower cost and you can rough turn that and allow to gently dry which won't take long once the bulk of the timber has been removed and finish turning it once the moisture has been released. You can also order log cuts which has the grain going along rather than across, again it will be damp so needs roughing in but can't be left not rough turned or the sides of the log will crack, this material is quite cheap. All timbers can be ordered as damp cheaper. Very large custom size disks can also be ordered up to 190mm thick and is dry.

Pen blanks in general are 140mm long and 20mm square.

Huon pine pen blanks standard grade $1.50 each Medium density Birdseye $3.00 each and High density Birdseye $5.00 each.
Blackheart Sassafras $3.00 each, Tiger Myrtle and Monkey face Musk will be either Burl or fiddleback or both (Musk), as they come $5.00 each.
Don't ask for photos of each piece on each side.
